By Plane

There is an international airport in Lyon, called «Lyon Saint Exupéry», which offers flights to over one hundred destinations. It is located at about 25 kms (15 miles) Est from downtown. A shuttle, called Satobus, links the airport to the center of Lyon, with departures every 20 minutes 7 days a week.


To go to the convention center with the shuttle, stop at Part-Dieu (30 minutes) and then take bus Nr 47.


Examples of European destinations directly served by the Lyon Saint-Exupery airport: Paris Roissy-CDG, Paris Orly, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Birmingham, Bologna, Brussels, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Goteborg, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Porto, Prague, Roma, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Venice, Vienna, Warsaw, Zürich. But there are also several other international direct connections.

By Train
The French high speed train, called « TGV », serves in Lyon:
- the central railway station, called « Part-Dieu », which is Lyon downtown,
- and, at some hours, the « Saint Exupéry airport », the international airport of Lyon.

In Part-Dieu station, every hour there is one TGV going to Paris and one TGV coming from Paris.

To go to the convention center from Lyon Part-Dieu, take the bus Nr 47 (in just ten minutes).

In Paris, there are two main TGV stations for international and national connections:
- ROISSY: Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport. The railway station is inside the CDG airport which is the main international airport in PARIS. There are about 11 direct connections per day by TGV between CDG and Lyon Part-Dieu.
- PARIS Gare de Lyon: The main railway station in Paris downtown for TGV connections from & to Lyon Part-Dieu.

By Boat

The Navig’Inter boating company offers guided boat trips along the Saône and the Rhone, evening cruises to admire the city lights (showing off the monuments to best effect), river-borne shuttles to reach the town centre, trips (by reservation only), as well as meal cruises.

Don't forget that the Palais des Congrès has its own landing stage!

By Metro, Bus

 

The TCL network - Lyon public transport - is extensive and highly practical.

Bus information:

The site is served by route 4, which connects with metro lines A and D at stops Foch (A) and Saxe-Gambetta (D).

Line 58: Lyon Convention Centre to downtown (Bellecour – presqu’île area)

 

Metro – Tramway – Trolley Information:

C1 : a fast trolley bus with a dedicated lane connect the Cité internationale with Part-Dieu in 12 mn.

  • Metro line A (underground/subway rail system) travelling to the Presqu’Ile and Lyon Perrache railway station.
  • Metro line B to the Part-Dieu district.
  • Metro line D travelling to the town centre and Old Lyon.
  • Tram lines T1and T2 to the university areas and Lyon Perrache railway station.
